JEAN PIERRE PETIT is the Chairman of Cahiers Verts de l'Economie, the leading independent investment strategy advisory body in France
(more than 300 clients).
He was previously Partner and Director of Economic Research and Strategy for Exane-BNP Paribas (1999-2008).
Previously, he was Deputy to the Chief Economist of BNP PARIBAS (1995-1999), Senior Economist at the Banque de France and Consultant to the IMF (1986-1995).
Jean Pierre Petit is the author of several books, “La finance, autre” (Dalloz, 2005), “The Stock Exchange, rupture and renewal” (Odile Jacob, 2003) “International economy: the place of banks”,
(Dunod 1999 ), “Privatizations” (in collaboration, Montchrestien, 1998), “Exchanges and international finance, the issues” and “Exchanges and international finance, the actors” (1997, Banque
éditeur review), He has also participated in several collective works (Rethinking the planet finances Eyrolles 2009, La Chinamérique, Eyrolles, 2010)
Between 2002 and 2007, JEAN PIERRE PETIT was elected each year as best market economist at the Grands Prix for Financial Analysis
organized by Extel-Agefi in France (with a vote of more than 700 institutional investors).
His work "The Stock Exchange, rupture and renewal" received in 2004 the Grand Prix (Turgot) for the best book in financial economics of 2003. His book "La finance autre" also received in March
2006 the special Turgot prize. On this occasion, he also received an honorary prize for having achieved the first "Doublé" of the Turgot Prize.
JEAN PIERRE PETIT is or has been a columnist for Le Monde, Figaro, Expansion, Agefi, Revue Banque et Investir. He also speaks fairly
regularly at BFM Business, B Smart, Boursorama.
