A fashion icon, DONNA KARAN is known for her accomplishments in the fashion industry. She has dressed modern women for nearly four decades. She has built enduring companies that have shaped fashion, design, and aesthetics for several generations.

DONNA KARAN has received numerous awards and honors for her fashion achievements such as the Womenswear Designer of the Year (1996, 1990), and the Lifetime Achievement Award CFDA (2004). Over ten years ago DONNA KARAN, a passionate philanthropist, established Seventh on Sale and Super Saturday, two landmark fundraising events that raised millions of dollars for AIDS awareness and Cancer Research.

Karan left her CEO position in 1997, but continued as chairwoman and designer for the Donna Karan line. After 2002 Karan's designer contributions became less and less. In August 2008, Karan relaunched her discontinued fragrance lines from the 1990s.

In 2015, Donna Karan announced that she would be stepping down as head of her eponymous company.
