sous-secrétaire général de l’ONU et coordonnateur de la Conférence Rio+20 (2011-2013). Ancien ambassadeur climat français (2008-2010), ancien président de la table ronde sur le développement
durable auprès de l’OCDE (2007). Ancien ministre de l'Environnement (1988 -1992). Ancien maire de Saint-Briac-sur-Mer (1995-2008). Ancien candidat à la présidence de la République (1981). Ancien
président des Amis de la Terre (1972-1982). Ancien président des étudiants de la Sorbonne (1966-1968).

Mr. BRICE LALONDE presently chairs Balance of Energies, a business think tank working at the European and national
levels to decarbonize the economy. Earlier he chaired the French Water Academy and was a director of the Global Compact, the UN interface with business. In 2012,
he was Undersecretary to the UN and Executive Coordinator of the Rio+20 conference on Sustainable Development. Before he was the French Ambassador for Climate
negotiations.
Prior to this, he served as French Minister for the Environment from 1988 to 1992. He was Chairman of the Round Table for Sustainable Development at the Organization for
Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
He chaired the French chapter of the international NGO Friends of the Earth in the seventies and stood on the French presidential election in 1981. He was mayor of a coastal resort in Brittany
for 13 years.
